Lesson details

The Split Grip becomes a true movement-builder in this follow-along session.

By separating the hands, the drill increases sensory feedback through the wrists, forearms, and shoulder structure, revealing how pressure actually travels through your system. These guided reps train the constants that matter under pressure: shaft stability, sequencing, shoulder plane, and natural face control. Simple, powerful, and repeatable, this is how connection becomes consistency.

Why This Follow-Along Elevates the Split Grip From a Feel Drill to a System-Builder

Most golfers never understand the hidden physics behind the Split Grip, but once you do, you will make practicing it a daily ritual.

Sensory Separation = Better Face Control

Splitting the hands increases afferent feedback, sharpening your awareness of the shaft, clubface, and connection to the shoulders. If pressure leaks, you feel it instantly.

Forearm Tension Organises the Shoulder Structure

The drill exposes how the forearms should match the transmission (your shoulders) to stabilise delivery without manipulation.

Reps Train the Engine–Transmission–Steering Loop

The body drives, the shoulders transmit, the arms and club respond. This follows true Spiral Code sequencing — not model positions.

Eyes-Closed Reps Build Neural Constants

This phase heightens proprioception, rhythm mapping, and pressure awareness. Elite players square the face through feel — this drill teaches the same mechanism.

Constants → Predictability → Confidence

The Split Grip builds:

  • a predictable delivery pattern

  • consistent pressure on the arc

  • stable shaft geometry

This is why it remains one of Spiral Code’s most revered Accelerated Learning Drills.
